Get married in an easy, relaxed and affordable way.

Why couples choose a small wedding

Simplicity

Less to organise, less stress on the day. Just the people and the moment that matter.

Affordability

Get married without the cost of a large event. Keep what you save for a honeymoon, a house, or whatever comes next.

More personal

With fewer guests, the focus stays entirely on you two.

Your location

A park, a beach, a backyard, a cafe. Anywhere in Mackay that feels right to you.

Common Questions

Why choose this over getting married at the courthouse?

The registry office is functional, but it comes with fluorescent lighting, a waiting room, and a fixed format. Booking a celebrant means you choose the location, the time, and the feeling of the day. All the documents are prepared and lodged for you, and you get to be somewhere that actually means something to you.

What is the Notice of Intended Marriage?

The Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) is the legal form required before any marriage in Australia. It must be signed at least one calendar month before your ceremony date. I will prepare it, walk you through it, and take care of everything from there.

How soon can we get married?

The law requires a minimum of one month between signing the Notice of Intended Marriage and your ceremony date. Subject to availability, that is the timeline you need to work around. The sooner you get in touch, the sooner we can lock in your date.

Are these packages personalised?

Beyond the simple, necessary customisation they really are just the basics. These packages do not include your love story or a personalised ceremony script. It is your vows, the legal wording, and the signing. If you would like something more personal, I offer full wedding packages that include all of that.

Do you offer more personalised wedding packages?

Yes. If you would like a fully personalised ceremony with your love story and a longer format, take a look at the full packages. View all ceremony packages here.

How do I change my name after the wedding?

All packages include a name change guide that walks you through the process step by step. What to update first, what documents you will need, and who to notify.

Eloping or keeping it simple in Mackay

More and more couples in Mackay are choosing to skip the big day and just get married. Whether that is a quiet elopement at the beach, a registry-style ceremony in a garden, or simply sitting down at a cafe to sign the paperwork, there is a real appetite for weddings that feel honest and uncomplicated.

As a registered civil celebrant based in Mackay, I handle all of the legal requirements from start to finish. That means the Notice of Intended Marriage, the ceremony itself or signing appointment, and lodging everything with the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages on your behalf. You just show up.

These packages are designed for couples who want a legal, meaningful wedding without the production. No venue pressure, no guest list stress, no months of planning. If you are searching for an elopement celebrant in Mackay, a courthouse-style wedding, or just want to make things official quietly, you are in the right place.
